For the BRITISH CHESS VARIANTS SOCIETY Site updated 18 April 2008 The British Chess Variants Society was formed in 1997 by contributors and subscribers to the magazine Variant Chess, which was begun in January 1990 and is now published by the Society. The most recent issue of the magazine is VC57, nominally published May 2008 but was received at UK addresses in April 2008. The present office-holders of the Society are:

Circular Chess The Circular Chess World Championship 2008 will be held in the Tap and Spile in Hungate, Lincoln, on Sunday 1st June 2008. Entry forms are available both from the Tpa and Spile or from 11 North Parade, Lincoln, LN1 1LB and should be returned (with an entry fee of £10) by 14 May 2008.
